BOSCH BASH SUMMER DANCE PARTY
To benefit Project for Empty Space
Saturday, June 1st, 7 - 10pm

“The mind which is created quick to love, is responsive to everything that is pleasing, soon as by pleasure it is awakened into activity”
— Dante Alighieri, The Divine Comedy

There’s a little vibration, something nagging at your feet, like a little devil with the head of a bird and the body of a baby poking your bum compelling you to move- to DANCE! Join us for PES’ second annual dance party- an evening of drinks, contests, and dancing inspired by Hieronymus Bosch’s notoriously strange painting The Garden of Earthly Delights (1490s). So whip out your fig leaves, your hot pokers, and your flower petal capes for BOSCH BASH!

Last year we pulled out the pajammys and cat walked. This year we ask that you get a little bit weird (aka creative) with your costumes and strike a pose with something from the gorgeous garden, the strange space of purgatory, or the stranger still depths of hilarious demons in Hieronymus Bosch’s Hell (please do not harm any live animals, such as birds or unicorns, for the sake of your costume)! Our illustrious judges will pick someone from each category for a special prize.

Proceeds from this loopy night do have a purpose- they go to support the Project for Empty Space annual Artist in Residency program, which supports several artists each year in their time exploring the meeting point of socially impactful discourse and art.

So again, get weird- get creative- get excited! Bosch Bash is coming. June 1st, 2019— be there or be that sad guy with a bunch of sparrows flying out of his bum!
