Project For Empty Space is excited to announce our 2019 Feminist in Residence (FIR) Aimee Gilmore, Sara Jimenez, Katrina Majkut, Julie Marie Seibert, fayemi shakur, and Sophia Wallace.

Over the next two months, the gallery will be transformed into a collaborative studio space. The selected artists will develop work that speaks to the incubator’s mission; addressing issues of female safety, gender roles, ownership, and agency. The Feminist in Residence program will culminate in a group exhibition, accompanied by public programs and happenings from March 27th, 2019 - April 26, 2019.

PES Feminist Incubator Space's Feminist Reading Lounge is now open to the public! The reading lounge features books and literature pertaining to intersectional feminism and women’s empowerment. Visitors are encouraged to bring their favorite reading material to share with others as a way to not only share knowledge and perspective; but also, to prompt conversations. The Lounge will host topical discussions and workshops on pertinent issues ranging from the wage gap, to gender-based violence, to sex positivity.
