Join Have You Met Newark for a special art and history tour during Newark Grounds NIGHT FEST on Thursday, June 26, from 4–9 PM. The tour begins at 4 PM at 10 Edison Place, offering attendees a unique opportunity to explore the cultural and artistic landmarks within the Newark Grounds footprint. Highlights include Four Corners Public Arts, Project for Empty Space, Gateways to Newark: Portraits, and select works from New Jersey Transit’s public art program.
Produced in collaboration with the Newark City Parks Foundation, The Newark Grounds NIGHT FEST is a pilot for a new biannual celebration (summer and fall) aimed at activating the emerging cultural corridor in downtown Newark. The event will animate the lower section of Mulberry Commons Park—right next to the Prudential Center—with a lively performance stage, curated market, and community picnic area.
The marketplace will spotlight wellness, local food initiatives, educational programming, and handmade artisan goods. Local growers will offer fresh, Newark-grown produce, share insights on civic agriculture, and present healthy options perfect for picnicking.
Bring your blanket, your dinner, and your crew—after the tour, stick around and join the picnic!
