HELINA METAFERIA: WHEN CIVILIZATIONS HEAL

A solo exhibition by Artist in Residence Helina Metaferia (Cycle 8). When Civilizations Heal is an interdisciplinary project that imagines the exhibition space as an anthropological site, creating artifacts as art objects, assembled from archives of the last sixty years of activism, with an emphasis on the role that women-identifying people of color have played.

After an impactful four-month cross-country tour, the Body Freedom for Every(Body) 2024 Tour exhibition presented, for the first time, all 100+ works from the rotating exhibition simultaneously.

DAPHNE ARTHUR: FRAGILE INTANGIBILITIES

A solo exhibition by Artist in Residence Daphne Arthur (Cycle 8). Fragile Intangibilities comprised 11 hand-sewn silk organza camping tents. Each tent was suffused with ink drawings inspired by Arthur's interviews. Arthur, a Venezuelan-born immigrant, conversed with fellow first-generation immigrants and migrants in New York City and Connecticut. 

JAKE TROYLI: FINE LINE
September 10, 2025 - February 28, 2026


A solo exhibition by Artist in Residence Jake Troyli (Cycle 8). A series of monochromatic drawings juxtaposed with two murals, one of which was interactive, Fine Line marked a unique change of pace for Troyli, known for his grand paintings with smooth, saturated, bold colors.

LAYQA NUNA YAWAR: LA VOZ DEL ANONIMATO (THE VOICE OF ANONYMITY)

A solo exhibition by Artist in Residence Layqa Nuna Yawar (Cycle 8). La voz del Anonimato (The Voice of Anonymity) was the result of a two-year residency and presented artwork centering the voices of contemporary Andean diaspora members from the tri-state area.
