K. Desireé Milwood: “I Declare, I am Free” Writing Workshop

“I Declare, I am Free,” a free community writing project led by K. Desireé Milwood, invites the public to gather, write, and share in a warm atmosphere over a meal. It invites you to imagine and write your freedom into existence. No writing experience is needed. Participants will be asked to write and, if they feel comfortable, share with the group.

RSVP on Eventbrite

This program is part of the exhibition, Black Revolutionary Women: 250 Years of a Colony within a Colony, which highlights the lives and freedom practices of Black women during the Revolutionary War era. The gallery will be open after the workshop. This program is also part of America's Potluck, an opportunity for neighbors to gather and share a communal meal. Refreshments will be available starting at 1 PM. The program will start at 1:30 PM.
