Join us on July 9 from 4-6 PM at Ironside Newark for a painting class hosted by Black Painters Academy!
About This Event
As part of PES Summer Studio at Ironside Newark, Project for Empty Space is hosting a series of free, artist-led workshops led by past and present Artists-in-Residence. These hands-on programs invite participants of all ages to explore new materials, develop creative skills, and engage with contemporary artistic practices.
Join the Black Painters Academy for a day of outdoor painting, hosted by Black Painters Academy member/founder Azikiwe Mohammed. The Black Painters Academy classes are free of charge and open to students of all ages, young and old. While everyone is encouraged to come, the Black Painters Academy focuses on engaging those who may lack access to arts education or feel unwelcome in such spaces. If that is you, we look forward to having you.
